Evaluating depressive symptoms in hypomanic and manic episodes using a structured diagnostic tool: validation of a new Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (M.I.N.I.) module for the DSM-5 'With Mixed Features' specifier.
The M.I.N.I. has been validated against the much longer Structured Clinical Interview for DSM diagnoses (SCID-P) in English and French and against the Composite International Diagnostic Interview for ICD-10 (CIDI) in English, French and Arabic. It has also been validated against expert opinion in a large sample in four European countries (France, United Kingdom, Italy and Spain). According to researchers at the National Institute of Mental Health's (NIMH) Division of Clinical and Treatment Research, the M.I.N.I. is a fully validated and more time-efficient alternative to the SCID-P and CIDI..
As you can see it is also validated for ICD-10. Go to this page: http://www.medical-outcomes.com/index/minifororganizations
Has MINI been revised for diagnosis of schizophrenia in DSM-5. we want to use dsm-5 in our research on schizophrenia. any help will be much appreciated.
Information on the MINI for DSM-5 can be found at //harmresearch.org
The publisher requires license agreements to use any version of the MINI. There is no cost for smaller grants (< US $50,000), but for larger studies, there are hefty fees of US $10 per administration if a license agreement is obtained beforehand and $20 per administration if not. From Google Scholar searches, it appears that psychometrics research on an earlier version of the MINI has been published, but I found no publications of psychometrics on the current version.
Thanks, Eve. The MINI 7.0.2 cannot be purchased from harmsresearch.org where a view only copy is now "out of stock". You have to obtain a license from Dr. Sheehan and that information is available on that site.
