I'm going to start an evaluation on buses, coaches, or heavy vehicles in general. I want some diagnosis techniques and really need references and articles about this topic, no matter what part or system is going to be diagnosed.

Your question is not very clear for me. I assume that you want to analyses the design of bus. There are some tests which called ALTOONA tests. Every bus has to pass theses tests to get permission to be in route in the North America. The text of these tests are free to download from internet. You can start simulating theses tests numerically by some commercial softwares like Ls-Dyna too.

My goal is to evaluate some techniques and methods for finding defects and faults(diagnosis) in buses, specially those that are NOT caused by weak maintenance.
It would be great if you could give me more information considering these points.
