My dissertation is examining current literature and policies in a higher education institution on feedback, with a focus on the potential of audio and visual feedback and how it might enhance the experience of or support Maori and Pasific learners. Russell Bishop (in his explanation of ako) talks about ‘the teacher is a partner in the conversation of learning’ – I've interpreted this as there is a dialogic component to ako. Would be interested to hear other perspectives on this.
