Has anyone been able to put the nSyb-GAL4 or Elav-GAL4 flies onto a w1118 background?

We have been trying to put the nSyb-GAL4 fly from Bloomington onto a w1118 background and it has not been going well. Has anyone done this?

We are planning to try putting the Elav-GAL4 on a w1118 background, has anyone had any success with this?
