There is a lot of worry about people using ChatGPT to do assignments. I share that concern and this has highlighted to me that we are over-dependent on assignments for assessments. Abu Rayhan is even more direct on the comments - "cheating"!
I think we should use ChatGPT (and other AI) for researching what resources and still get people to write from their own brain. And maybe if we use assignments less then there will be less use of ChatGPT and people depending on it.
We cannot stop the technological progress, but we can learn how to use these technologies and teach our students to use AI in a proper way. The modern labor market requires these knowledge.
