The secret behind the ability to handle any disease can be summarized in three concerns, which are: the delusion is half of the disease, reassurance is half of the medicine, and acknowledging is the first step of healing.
Dear Yasser Fakri Mustafa, I think the three statments are more concerned with deseases of mental or sycologic origins. For the organic deseases the subject generally doesn't feel the presence of the illness until it starts to manifest. My Regards
Concerning your opinion, I do not agree with you. To clear my opinion, I give you an example:
If the patient has diagnosed to be hypertensive, the measurement of the blood pressure and pulse in every hour......this is a delusion. on the other hand for the same patient, the careless intake of unhealthy foods is also considered as a delusion since the patient not believed in the fact of his illness.
Yes Dr. Yasser Fakri Mustafa, what you said is correct but it is not a general behavior. People are prone to heart attack without any introductory signs, though there must be some scientific reasons behind before to reach failure. In conclusion, my point is that it is only a rough approach to generalize the three parts of the statment. My Regards
I respect your opinion but think it is a general behavior. When the patient suffers from sudden heart attack........ that means he has chronic disease (s) which not given the attention since the patient believed that he has a good health to do any thing and eat every thing .
Agreed to some extent. There are more to treating disease. For example, the availability of a vaccine or confirmed solution to the disease will boost the hope of the patient
Medicine must remain human; that is to say, keep the constant concern for the person. Patients should no longer be "sent" to hospital or to community care: they should be accompanied by a coordinated and personalized strategy that takes account of their priorities, their values and their socio-educational, cultural and psychological profile. So, I completely agree with you on the three aspects you proposed.
