I am just wondering if greater credence is given to evaluation by pathologists or by morphometric and colorimetric analyses using software packages and molecular markers. For example, I believe the tissues I am examining have fewer mitochondria as compared to controls. I would prefer to use mitotracker and just analyze using FIJI. But my boss wants to send it off to the appropriate pathologists.

Now don't misunderstand, I am fully aware of pathologists' expertise and talents, and I do hat the idea of artificial intelligence taking over all of our jobs. But the fact of the matter is that for specialized applications, computer analysis is just better.

But maybe I am wrong? Please inform me.
