I am trying to research Muller, who was the chaplain of Frederick I's army in 18th century. He was the counselor who ministered to Frederick the great and Lt Katte in prison (1730) before Katte's execution. None of the resources I can find reveal Muller's first name, although he is mentioned in many history books and memoirs only by his last name. I noted many Mullers in a religious context before and after the 18th century. I would like to identify this particular Muller for a project in the works. Could you help with the first name? Do you mean Friedrich II? Perhaps his name is on his book or in his son's book (both mentioned in the link above). I tried tracking down the editor -- perhaps someone at Gutenburg could help.
In Essence, Friedrich II (better known as Frederick the Great). I have all the books from your citation. No first name has been found. Other Mullers have been noted, but do not fall between the years of the eighteenth century, in specific his counseling and letters in 1730. This is when Frederick the Great was imprisoned by his father for treason. I am writing a biography/research project and the correct Muller must be identified. Thank you for your response.
