Dear Kyung Deuk Min , when you consider at atomic level, the origin of magnetism lies in the presence of net magnetic moment due to the contribution of either spin or orbital motions of electrons. It doesn't matter if it is a single atom or a collection of atoms, it'll exhibit magnetism in both the cases and will get attracted towards the magnet.
