Dr sahb as we know management of paddy straw at the farmer field requires intensive use of agricultural machinery whether it is straw baler, happy seeder or mould-bold plough depending on the requirement of the farmer. There are some of the alternates which can be employed at farmer field which although are not completely independent of mechanisation but restrict the use of machinery up to certain extent. These may include use of paddy straw in bio gas production, mushroom cultivation, preparation of phospho-compost, animal fodder, removal of straw after manual harvesting, in-situ decomposition with bio-agents etc. These are the alternates which can be used along with other methods of paddy straw management.
Dear Sirs, mechanical alternatives are proven at the same time phospho- compost pellets are time consuming as well labour intensive. But for me it means the alternatives like waste decomposer, or similar other low cost, less time and non labour intensive methods for fastest dispose of straw for timely sowing of next crop at small and poor farmers of the country
