This is Gagandeep Singh pursuing Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering with the research focus on the design of the PV solar system.
Currently, I am carrying out the pre-feasibility, feasibility study and engineering design of a PV system for one of our University's building. Project work also investigates the technical issues involved, and whether such a system would be considered financially feasible by businesses in today’s market. To carry out the project I need of the real-time electrical consumption data of the building. Since the building is a part of the university, so I was supposed to go through many stages or levels to reach the administration for getting the access of required data. However, all my efforts went in vain, because the administration refused to provide the data by saying it's not actual or formal project work.
Based on this, my professor has asked me to shift the project's objective from Canada to some other part, and later if possible we can scale up the data as per Canada's requirements. After doing a lot of research, I've decided that India is the most suitable country for my project work.
Therefore, I would like to know what is the possibility if I request you to help me for providing the real-time electrical consumption data of the project. The data can be from your ongoing project or the project that has been done in the past by you.

Finland is one of the leading users of renewable sources of energy in the world. About 1/4th of the total energy consumption in Finland is provided by renewable energy sources. Bio-energy, woodbased fuels, wind energy, geothermal heat and solar energy are the most common sources of renewable energy.
Solar PV System is a power system in which power is produced using solar radiation. It is also known as solar PV power system or PV system. The cost of the PV has decreased dramatically in the recent years. Solar PV system includes various components and they are chosen depending on the site location, system type, and applications. The major component of the system includes PV panels, junction box, inverter, battery banks and loads.
In Europe, Germany is world’s superpower country in the context of solar energy production. According to 2011 data solar energy production (32,411 MWp) was around 3 % of total energy consumption. In Asia, India Gujrat, and some other major states has shown tremendous improvement in the context of solar energy production.
Energy produced from renewable energy sources like solar energy is getting popular as the energy produced is green energy and there are no greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time, the energy produced is free. Because of more emphasis on renewable energy, subsidies when installing the system, the PV installation is in increasing trend and payback time is becoming shorter.
Technical feasibility:
Depending on the site, technology, sizing system and weather condition might affect performance ratio (PR). The losses are as Pre-module Losses, Module losses, and System Losses. Energy consumption and production are the two major parameters when designing the solar PV system.
Performance areas where you need to focus on:
Selection and sizing of PV-Panels(Module dimension of PV Panel-length, width, area, weight, cell type, cell temperature, irradiance change etc.), azimuth(horizontal direction or or the point of the compass), inclination(Generally, Inclination range is from horizontal 00 to vertical 900), Temperature co-efficient(open circuit voltage, short circuit current, maximum power etc.), Inverter selection and manufacture type etc.
Cost feasibility study:
The operating and maintenance costs for PV panels are negligible, compared to the costs of other renewable energy systems. There is a high possibility of obtaining benefits from on-grid solar systems when the consumption is less so that surplus electricity can be sold to the local electricity supply. In some countries, the power produced from renewable energy sources like wind energy, hydro energy, solar energy etc. have higher feed-in tariff rates. In this design, PV panels will be installed on the roof of the property. So, no additional land is needed. Because of increasing trend of electricity price, carbon trade issues and clean development mechanisms, this type of a system will play a key role in achieving the target for global larger percentage of renewable energy supply by the year 2020. Estimated lifetime of PV panel is more than 25 years, so in longer run system may bring economical benefit.

Incentives play a key role in enhancing the economic feasibility of renewable energy investments. Delays in the project because of permitting issues might take up to 50 % of project time in some cases and which rises the project cost. Without subsidies and with given development of investment cost and production rate, PV System is not feasible for the company. With 30 % incentives, the payback time was 15 years and with 15 % incentives, the payback time is 18 years.
