Indian farming community is in great need to have access to weather information to plan and manage their crops and their livelihoods. Considering the growing acceptance of farmers for the internet and mobile based services, ICAR made an attempt to provide valuable agromet information to the users through a common platform - 'Crop Weather Outlook'. This website provides Agrometeorological information highlights.

I could not understand your question. You have said "fate of agromet advisories in indian agriculture". Why :fate of"? They are working very well in the country with wide network and rendering excellent service. If you ask the "fate of indian rainfall prediction as a concern based on the probability issues" . Then it may be discussed. Please clarify your concern.
I am not talking about working. Really they are doing there best...I just want to know whether farmers really adopted AAS at grass root level or they just satisfy with agro advisories????
Yes. Farmers do benefit from agromet advisories. This is clearly evident in several dryland cropping systems. A lot of case studies are available to prove this. Kindly go through the papers of Dr Kees Stigter and his books. For eg. Applied agrometeorology (ed) Kees Stigter.
Agromet Advisory Services is very much helping in the management of temperate horticulture and enhancing the economic benefits of the orchardists through increasing crop production and reducing the cost of cultivation.
