I have been extremely pleased with my interactions with others on RG. Recently, I have been bombarded with requests to apply for admission to Faculty Row. I'm generally not a 'social media' type person, but my experiences on RG have convinced me that this sort of networking can be beneficial. Although I realize that Faculty Row's selectivity is pretty much hype, I was wondering if joining would be beneficial. I'd particularly like to hear responses from persons who have had experiences with Faculty Row and who are reasonably active here on RG.
There is no harm for joining an spreading your research activity on social media either via research gate or academia.edu or faculty row. having presence on all channels helps you in terms of reach-ability.
Faculty Row wants your cold, hard cash to be a member. I am passing.
