In DSC of shape memory alloy film along with substrate or SMA film alone, the phase transformation peaks are not observed. 1, 5, 10 K/min are the heating rates. 25 to 325 deg celsius is the temperature range.
Kindly tell me the way to find the phase transformation peaks.
In the bottom curve there is a thermal change at around 100oC but is very broad may be due to the fact that your sample do not have a good crystallinity. Are you measured XRD?
First you mention whether your are using micro DSC or conventional. From heat flow curve it looks that you have used power compensated conventional DSC where mass in the range of few mg (10mg) is needed to detect any feeble signal. Since you are not recording any phase transformation signal, It may be due to facts, since you have a thin film and mass of the sample you are using may very small and signal corresponding to phase transformation is highly dependent on mass. Please see how much mass you are taking, second thing increase the heating rate ~50 K min-1 it may also help if enthalpy of phase transformation is small.
