I'm currently using the PV arrays from Simulink (2016a) library to simulate a basic extremum seeking algorithm.The system is easily consist of a PV array, a DC-DC booster and a load. How can i know what is comming out from the mppt, a Vref or a Iref. Some papers seem to define if the PV arrays with voltage output then the algorithm will produce current I_pv as reference. Otherwise, the algorithm will generate Vpv as reference for system with current output.

So in the following attachments are the model i'am trying to run but if the therorem of ESC is correct it should produce a corresponding duty cycle of maximum power point. I think the problem could be in the PV model or the design of ESC since theoretically ESC works fine under taylor expansion so i think it might be neccessary to do some changes on the ESC blocks?

Your question seems a bit ambiguous. Actually, it depends on your control loop for which you designed it. For example, we used Perturb & Observe (P&O) method in our previous conference paper. P&O method is solely used to find the Vref at the MPPT. So now what ESC should output depends on the loop itself. Furthermore, If it is a Vref output from ESC then you can easily put a PI regulator to regulate PV votlage with this reference. I hope i could answer your question.
