I'm looking for specific examples of 'smart' appliances which can report their own electricity demand to the network. I'm not interested in appliances which report a predefined estimate of energy consumption for an activation. Instead I'm after appliances which actually have a power meter and can report that data to the network (ideally using a well-documented API or, even better, a standard protocol). Thank you!

It looks like GE's Nucleus brand is now dead. And, furthermore, in 2015 GE moved away from ZigBee to WiFi for their smart appliances.
