Interesting topic......I think the influence of the school arrangement in stimulating the position of the teacher from teaching is important and depends on several factors, including the successful teaching program and the standards of accreditation and quality used in the school as well as the rehabilitation of the teacher professional programs of professional teaching and dealing and create an atmosphere of creativity and orientation of students to motivation and thinking and distance from indoctrination in addition to focus Programs and extracurricular activities.
I am not much in favor of school ranking even though it may motivate teacher’s attitude towards teaching.
School ranking is, say, relatively blind because, for example, it does not take into account important variables that affect students' performance. In my country, for example, private schools score generally higher that public schools. What happens is that private schools are generally attended by students of the most rich families, which is not the case of public schools. Because of this, it is "normal" that those students who attend private schools perform better than their counterparts who attend public schools.
I find it natural that those teachers who work at private schools are more motivated to teach than those who work at public schools because their students score higher. It is understandable that the more they have students who are, say, high achievers, the more their teachers are motivated to teach them.
Of course, the issue you address, justify your research. Good luck.

What did you mean: 'Will this topic justify my research topic?'
The title raises many questions regarding the ranking system before touching upon teachers' initial motivation and the potential impact of ranking on teachers ongoing motivation.
An important and interesting issue.
I have chosen to become a teacher because I want to give back to society having had a career in finance which has allowed me to retire early enough to retrain. A ranking system based, for example on GCSE results would have little impact on my motivation as I intend to work at a poor performing state school in order to try and help those who need the help most.
Also it may well worth downloading the TES app and reading their news.
Obviously it will because it would encourage teachers to do better in teaching if they know that what they undergo like taking post graduate is justifiable.at the same timeit is for enhancement and professional growth and development as well.
School ranking will certainly influence teachers' attitudes, but possibly in a negative way. They may be less likely to experiment and take risks in their teaching, may be more likely to 'teach to the test' rather than teaching for true understanding, and may be tempted to teach the 'majority' (who will gain reasonable results) rather than working with individuals who may need a lot of time to make very little progress.
I have been a teacher in secondary schools in both Scotland and England where schools are ranked), and now work at the post-secondary level in Canada where universities are ranked. In my experience (30+ years) the rankings have put pressure on those at the management level to 'look good' according to certain measures, but this has little relationship to good quality education of students, and can even prevent the best teaching from taking place.
The effect should be negative or positive, which one are u interested, more so, schools ranking may not motivate teachers because some teachers believe they have done their best in area of imparting knowledge and they believe that criteria for schools ranking is full of bias!
I recommend dear Dr. Sola Olorunda for your comment" The effect should be negative or positive, which one are u interested, more so, schools ranking may not motivate teachers because some teachers believe they have done their best in area of imparting knowledge and they believe that criteria for schools ranking is full of bias".
Indeed It could have a positive psychological effect on teachers, perhaps a better disposition to work, or maybe not, depending of school culture and what it takes to be best.
Actually the attitude of the teachers contribute to the school's ranking. Motivated and outstanding faculty are what make up the body of the university. If the faculty are great, the university is great. If the the faculty are marginal, then the university quickly becomes known as mediocre.

Yes surely students are the end product of the teacher. they are the future investment of the teacher so if the students perform well and the school rank in top will motivate the teacher very effectively. If take a simple example that teaching without students achievements is just like to plant trees in a land where you work day and night but at the end you get a zero result so whats will be the effect
