If Ca peaks does appear on the spectra but appeared as 0% in the Elementa percentage table... Does this mean Calcium Does not exist or percentage is too low?(I screen shot the results).
(The peaks i got from XRD is very prominent and XPS characterization in nearest time is very unlikely. )
Ca is there but just not in sufficient quantity to form a clearly visible peak. Some Ca hints are there at 3.7KeV (position of Ca Ka line).
Ca is present in the deposited film but in so small quantity which could not not gives significant peak individually, that is why the EDX spectrum mix all the peaks. in short, Ca is there but not in sufficient amount.
It looks like there are no Ca (peaks are not really visible).
You quantitative results are, however, suspicious, - too high % of Sn.
The spectrum looks pretty noisy. Try to increase the time (amount of counts).

I did many tests about EDX in University of Malaya labs using different types of machines. So, my advice to you: You should repeat the test and I wish this time your spectra will be same as your EDS table.

It is not surprise about the concentration of Ca Sn in this sample because the EDX analysis is still not believable 100 % and there are so much errors in the EDX results for any or all type of the samples. Therefore, better to get the XPS analysis, which more and more reliable or RBS analysis to confirm the actual concentration of Ca or Sn.

Too many bad operators are responsible for " so much errors in the EDX results for any or all type of the samples. " EDX is a sound method in proper hands.

Try to find another operator for your EDX analysis.
In this case I would check three things to make a decision:
- the background trend beneath the Sn/Ca peak reagion and if neccessary give one or two additionnal sampling points;
- now compare the noise level nearby the overlapping Sn/Ca peak with the peak to background ratio beneath the peak;
- if good, check the relative intensity of this Sn-peak compared to the others to see if Sn can give a real contribution or the intensity comes from Ca.
If Ca and the valye in the table is still zero then maybe the software has a suppressing level.
But Its very recommendable to make a new aquisition with a higher primary energy and more time or larger aperture. Good luck!
In your XRD results I understood that Ca element is recognized. Respectively because your Ca is very very low the detector couldn’t give that a value. In result the Ca exist but by very very low value.
Let me repeat: there are no Ca peaks on you spectrum (contrary to what some people say). Such a noisy spectrum as yours cannot give conclusive results for minor/trace elements.
Although the level of noise is high, Sn L alpha peak (considered to be highest between 3-4KeV) comes at 3.44KeV, Sn can't produce the peak (other La peak of almost same height) between 3.6-3.7. But Ca Ka peak (heighest) comes at 3.69KeV which is perfectly matching.

The spectra is noisy its base line has high intensity, the detectable peaks are all not sharp ones. The C peak with 8.12% content is superimposed with that of Ca which seems to be with much low content than C. All these make the detection of Ca is difficult.
