Came across a few journals on new studies upon prediction of earthquake from ionospheric data. (before and after).

Most of the studies shows stress accumulating on rock can influence Ionosphere  and are influenced by global geomagnetic field (GMF)and satellite . 

Can anyone give  some idea up on my question ..whether geology of the area is important in addition to GMF and satellite data while studying the ionosphere.
