Hi Guys, can someone who involve in an education program doing research on the program? Does it affect any ethics or bias?
Myself plan to do a qualitative research (case study) on an education program, but the problem is myself is the participant in that program.
Can the research be carrying out?
Hi Muhammad, I think one can reduce and minimize the bias in a qualitative research if you record all observations, report them and get them reviewed by an expert. Autoethnographies are done by researchers, which makes reflections on one's own observations of oneself. You can definitely do a participant observation and primary data collection for the program.

Bias is in your own hand if you do your work with sincerity its quit possible to skip bias by review comments from some neutral reviewers
I think there is no ethics implications in doing a research in your own program, as there's no limitations in the upcoming analysis. Otherwise, as a researcher, you'll have to take into account a strong methodological design, considering strategies, approaches, references and criteria to assure the quality of analysis.
