Does Young's modulus of a material change with heat treatment?
Does the chemical composition affect Young's modulus?
If during heat treatment process the chemical composition remains constant and material only has a microstructural change, dose Young's modulus change?
Elastic Modulus is an intrinsic property of a material, like melting point - referring to metallic materials apparently. It depends on the chemical composition but not microstructural conditions. Therefore, heat treatment condition will not affect the Young's modulus.
I hope this old school theory is valid today also for the new materials if the bonding mechanism does not change with heat treatment!
Since the Young modulus is related to the bonding between the atoms of materials, generally, it doesn't change after heat treatment processes. However, if the nature of an atomic bonding is affected by the HT, via the crystallographic or phase transformations, the value of Young modulus may be changed. Anyway, the other elastic characteristics e.g. the yield stress or the modulus of resilience are certainly changed after the HT.
1. What kind of material do you mean? Polymer, Metal, Paper, Wood, Ceramic, Carbon, ...? You should specify.
2. What temperature (or temp range) do you mention?
3. You should also specify what you refer with the "chemical composition" term; only "chemical structure" or "composition" by regarding of additives, fillers, property modifiers, specific agents etc.
As you see, there are "too many" parameters for making a technically correct comments on your questions.
I think it may be change, because the young modulus is the ratio between tensile strength and the tensile strain, so both of them will be affected by heat treatment process.

Indeed, the young modulus (E) of a metallic alloy is susceptible to change because E is the ratio between ultimate tensile strength(Sigma) and the elastic strain (e) of the alloy, i.e., the slope of the linear relationship of Segma versus e. The ultimate tensile strength can be changed by changing the chemical composition & the microstructure of the alloy. As a result, the E is susceptible to change.

It is a general understood that young modulus is temperature dependent. You can visualize that effect during age hardening. Temperature up to 400 K, Young's modulus generally decreases, little higher than 400 K, Young's modulus decreases with a slow rate and at much higher temperature it behaves almost constant. Young’s modulus can be changes with length. Since the force due to the atoms being held together in bonds decreases as the bond length increases (though interatomic distances can be increased in the molecule by changing the content) this typically happens during thermal expansion. So when the area increases the stress decreases. The more the young’s modules the more the force required to deform the material. From strain point of view also it can be simply understood.

When the temperature increases, the atomic thermal vibrations increase, and this will cause the changes of lattice potential energy and curvature of the potential energy curve, so the Young’s modulus will also change. And with the increase of temperature, the material will have a volume expansion. Thus we know that the change of Young’s modulus with temperature involves two aspects; one is the atomic binding force, and the other is the volume of material. Therefore, the relationship between Young’s modulus and temperature is relatively complicated. However, a linear dependence has been observed for Young’ modulus of several refractory oxides including aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, and thorium oxide above room temperature.
