HI, I have studied the effect of rhizobial isolates on triticale and wheat in a simple inoculation and in combination with other beneficial microorganisms-fungi under Cuban stressing environments. Results have shown a significant capacity of inoculated triticale for a suitable productivity under drought stress.

Please look at some Indian work on the above subject as attached files.
If you are speculating about increased nutrient uptake why not make the obvious test, i.e. analyse the plants for nutrients. That will produce hard evidence on one front.
