It has been many times when my Juniors (mostly undergraduates) ask me whether they should consider the World Ranking of any University before they join it for their MS/PhD or not.

Normally, my response is "More important than the ranking of the university, is the Professor with whom you going to work. If his (Prof's) area matches with your research interests and he also offers you a scholarship but the university has lower ranking, even than you can Join".

I want to have opinions of other professionals, so i am creating this poll here. I will appreciate your opinions. Please choose one of the followings. Mention your choice in your answer, and also add a brief explanation of your choice.

If a student receives scholarship to do MS/PhD from a Professor but the university ranking is low, what should a student do:

(A) Accept the Scholarship offer neglecting the low university ranking.

(B) Reject the Scholarship offer.

(C) Others (Pls add the details)
