Hello, I'm trying to find a model that describes how self-efficacy can directly influence changes in identity, based on the self-concept theory. So far, I've only found a hint to such a relationship in Gecas (1982): "In experience these two aspects of the self-concept [i.e. identity and self-evaluation (consisting of self-efficacy & self-worth)] are closely interrelated: Self-evaluations are typically based on substantive aspects of self-concept, and identities typically have evaluative component" (p. 4).
So it'll be great if you can suggest a model explaining the relationship between self-efficacy and identity, or suggest an article with possible leads to such a model.

You ask the follwing; Does self-efficacy influence identity directly?
As you know, the concept of self- efficacy is central in Albert Bandura's work. I would urge you to read some of his papers on self- efficay and even his books on socal learning (1977) and social cognitive learning (1986).
Self-efficay is, say, a psychological sense that refers to the extent to which we think of ourselves as being able to attain intended outcomes. The more we think so, the more our self-efficacy is high. As I psychologist, I think that self-efficacy can directly influence changes in one's identity. I would say that the more our sense of sell-efficay is low the more we lose our sense of self and personal identity. In other words, if we think of ourselves as not being able to attain purported and intended goals, then we may create the idea that we are, say, failed individuals and may learn what psychologist Martin Seligmann once called learning helplesness.That is, the idea that because we alawys fail, then the best we can do is to give up. And to give up of doing anything because we are convinced that however much we try we are doomed to failing, then we do not believe anymore in our capacities and hence our sense of self or self-identity is partly lost.

I obtained the suggested papers by Bandura on self-efficacy, and they indeed seem interesting from the abstracts, I'll still have to read them though.
Based on the information you've provided, diminishing perceived self-efficacy leads to diminishing self-identity, because one loses confidence in ability to fulfill the identity's tasks/requirements/performance. Nonetheless, is this process involved with the Identity Control Model where self-efficacy influences the comparator component of the model?
On many papers by Burke and colleagues on the ICM (e.g. 2003; 2006) they suggest that identity standards and perceived situational meanings are compared in the ICM comparator to adjust behavior; however, as far as I know they have not indicated how self-efficacy play a role in the model.
