As per second law of thermodynamics, all of the heat added to a system cannot be used to do useful work. Also, another version of second law of thermodynamics states that entropy of a system always increases. Does it implies that heat added to a system is used partly in doing useful work, partly in increasing the internal energy of the system and partly in increasing the entropy and as entropy of the system always increases so all of the heat added to a system cannot be used to do useful work?
