Does exposure to Standard Arabic while in the classroom will have an effect on reading and writting of children whithin the context of diglossia?

In the Lebanese Educational Context, Disglossia plays a major role where the child is exposed to and uses a certain dialect but learns Standard Arabic at school. Certain schools have the practice of using Standard Arabic orally to "develop" the reading and spelling capacities of children. I want to know if there is any research of this topic.
