We prepare carbon nanospheres from agricultural waste by pyrolysis. I have two questions:
1. Is there any evidence that explains formation of spherical shape during pyrolysis?
2. After pyrolysis, Is it necessary to control cooling also? if yes, how does it affect the morphology of the nanocarbon structures?

I am not very sure about the spherical shape during pyrolysis, but cooling process may have some impact, like if you close the nitrogen flow during cooling, condensation of pyrolytic vapours may take place which may increase the ash content of biochar.
