Recent advancements in the quantum physics suggest that human thinking has its own impact on changing the material reality. The famous double-slit experiments and its developments in the recent past prove how consciousness and the phenomenal world are interconnected. It has proved that the observer creates reality! If so, is reality is an illusion we create in our mind?

That can't be correct. If there was no consciousness then there would be no reality? The reality, and every thing else in the universe, would still be there even if consciousness didn't exist. How we experience the world is another question. But this all depends on your definition of consciousness of course.
