The resolution of the dataset is monthly. i have got world gridded monthly rainfall datasets. but my requirements is gridded daily rainfall dataset. Station scale daily rainfall data for world land areas are available from http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/data-access/land-based-station-data. but where to get the daily rainfall data on the sea areas ?

It will be useful for me. I am searching for a R programme to sort the GHCN daily rainfall data. I got one programme but that is for temperature.
