I am just wondering if any info exists before starting research. I know there are experiments with nano size particles, but what about the bigger range?

May I recommend you to determine first the particle size distribution and specific surface of the alumina powder. In case of your alumina is close to or in the range of the cement you can expect both pozzolanic reaction and filling effect.

It seems apart from the effect on strength properties it is worth for me to start research in this field. I have already made some preliminary investigation and have some results, and the two papers on the topic are very valuable and coincide with my findings.
