I need a catalytic particle for cleaning glasses and facade building materials that are in shade. I just find TiO2 and other similar photocatalytic nano particular that reaction in UV. I don't know that they are suitable for exterior materials in shade or not?
TiO2-based materials can work under" diffuse" light even at relatively low intensity (ca. 1 mW cm-2). Of course, they need UV light, if light is mainly of visible nature doped-TiO2 must be used to provide photo-chemical activity.

Perhaps, you can combine the TiO2 with some long afterglow phosphors which can also present the photocatalytic activity under the dark.
Keep in mind that TiO2 NP are toxic.
