I am trying to perform calcium imaging in my cells, but the pigment is blocking the signal. I've been told there is a reagent that can remove the pigment from the cells, but I can't seem to find anything.

You may remove the pigment from RPE cells using the melanin bleach pre-treatment kit (Polysciences).
You may incubate in melanin bleach pre-treatment solution A for 5 min, three subsequent washes with PBS, and then incubate in melanin bleach pre-treatment solution B for 1min and three washes with PBS.
