Does anyone know how to easily install the “Spacepy” library for Python 64 bit on a Windows 10 system? I would like to do this to read “cdf” files as the ones produced by the Swarm mission. Up to now I succeeded in installing the “Spacepy” library only for Python 32 bit but, unavoidably, there are some limitations. This is why I would like to install this library for Python 64 bit. I tried to find something of help on the web but it seems that this represents a setback.
Alternatively, is there someone who developed a Python script/class able to read “cdf” files as the ones produced by the Swarm mission?

Here is a link describing both the "hard" and "easy" ways of installing spacepy. If you can use the Python(x,y) distribution it should be very easy.

I'm not sure what limitations you're running into. Python 64-bit installs should run any 32-bit packages natively with no problem.
To answer your alternate question, there is this pycdf package: https://pythonhosted.org/SpacePy/pycdf.html you can try out.

With regard to your suggestions/links, unfortunately I knew them very well. The problem is that those are recommendations for a 32-bit Python version, as it is clear when reading "Download and install the 32-bit Python Windows installer". I would like to install the Spacepy library for the 64-bit Python version, and this seems to be a really complicated task to be accomplished.
Concerning the alternative suggestion you gave me, "pycdf" is included in the Spacepy library as it is clear from the following code
from spacepy import pycdf
so, unfortunately, this is not an alternative solution.

Apologies for giving you information you already knew, I've never used SpacePy so I'm not clear on exactly what the issue is. I saw "Like SpacePy, this currently only supports 32-bit code, but will run on 64-bit machines." on their documentation page so thought it might have been a simple-ish fix.
Are you running the Python(x,y) distribution then? Also, are you wanting it to run 64-bit simply for performance increase? Based on that line quoted above it seems to me like you won't get SpacePy to run as 64-bit because it says it only supports 32-bit.
With that said, if you're wanting to completely get out of SpacePy (if it can't be 64 bit) you may look at https://github.com/MAVENSDC/cdflib which based on a quick skim looks pertinent to what you're trying to do and it only uses numpy - which should have quite excellent performance.
R is another option if you're comfortable in Python, you'll pick it up quick - if you don't already know it. The vectorized operations may make working with what I assume is big data more feasible.
