I'm reviewing dozen of papers where silicate rock powders are been used as K source for cultivated plantas. Until now, all of these papers have problems with methology, and in the majority of cases there is no control treatment and soil are non responsive for K. I would like to know if there is at least one paper with positive scientific results on this way. This practice is growing very fast in Brazil (the use of aluminosolicate rock powders in agriculture) but I understand the only reason for this practice spread so fast is the high level of fertility some Brazilian agricultural soil after 20 yaers of no till and high fertilizantion. I'm still looking for more information to have a final position.
