I am route mapping a cyclic lactone synthesis using the Baeyer-Villiger synthesis using peracetic acid. The system needs to be fairly dry to avoid ring opening the lactone. Commercially available PAA solutions contain 10-15% water. I'm thinking about using molecular sieves to dry the reagent right before use, but I can't find any references. I'm mainly concerned with any safety issues. Thanks Eric
