I am providing this answer because it is implicitly related to the question of barriers to entry in the service sector on which I have done some research in the sense of provision of econophysical information technology and efficiency of financial markets and I am supervising some PhD dissertation at the University of Calcutta on the provision of insurance services. We have framed a questionnaire which is meant to include questions on some aspects of the utility functions of potential insurance subscribers. Therefore sexual preferences of individuals would be a relevant question but ambiguous sexual preferences may mean concave-convex utility functions which are somewhat incongruous with Dimininshing Marginal Utility principle. Therefore income indexed measurements somehow are at odds with such behaviour. I have characterised the question of entry into healthcare markets by pharmaceutical companies who also can sell generic drugs at cheaper prices and characterised the incomplete markets and also emerging markets solutions based on the multidimensional genetic characteristics of social distributional algorithms.
