Thanks Alexander. I had already seen this link. But wasn't able to run it. Warning to others , SBDART is almost impossible to run in WIndows. Learnt it the hard way.
Unfortunately the online model and MATLAB model don't work
SBDART has ceased to be maintained many years ago, unfortunately. I still keep two old versions that might be useful to you, v2.4 (Fortran) and a 2007 Matlab implementation.
I tried using SBDART years ago and had trouble with it. I started using TUV instead; it has been very reliable and is updated occasionally. It's in Fortran and I've been able to make modifications to suit my needs.
You can download the source and there is also a "quick" version that runs in a browser, just not as full-featured.
It seems that the researcher who programmed SBDART have uploaded (and updated) the code a few months ago in github https://github.com/paulricchiazzi/SBDART
Did you get the working SBDART code? I have the code for linux application. One needs to be careful with the fortran compiler version because of optimization issues. Alternately, you can always use libRadtran as it is easily available.
@Bomidi Lakshmi Madhavan - pls sir, I'm working on aerosol retrieval from satellite data, and I don't know which Radiative transfer code will be easy and free to use for the simulation of aerosol from either MODIS or Landsat data
Bomidi Lakshmi Madhavan I've been trying to generate the LUT with the ALG software but it's not loading at all. I have followed every steps in the user manual but still no result. Whenever I click on generate LUT, this is what I get (see the attached Image).
