What I found help was the transcription feature. Before, I had to listen all my interviews and transcribe them. This took a lot of time and energy. NVivo shortens this process.
I do agree with you sir. I only tried NVIVO once and I like some of its feature like the word cloud, even the word counts and other more, but I still feel that I need to have a personal touch with the identification of major themes and the like when doing qualitative research.

It works very well for qualitative studies in highlighting the emerging themes in the voices or views of respondents
Hello Jed. In short, Yes, based on one experience. I used NVivo in 2014-5 in pursuit of case study research of 5 sites and 140 interviews. I don't believe I exploited all its functions - but analysing the responses, colour coding them, converting key words to tables, storing files was very useful. I did a day's training first, and had a guide booklet, which were both essential to me. I did not compare NVivo in detail with other options, but it seemed at the time to be a good tool for my purposes. It was also available through the University. Best. Neil
Dear Jed. Thank you for your question. I found NVivo useful in assessing qualitative data, organisation of data used under themes, and storing files. However, as it is the case with all research tools, you will need to attend training workshops on how to use NVivo, watch videos, and if you can work with a colleague who knows how to use it, you will find things are workable. It is also useful for your publication to mention under methods the tool you used and describe what did you do with your data. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

is useful and you just need to know how to use it. It is easy to work with and makes your thematic analysis easier.
Nvivo is used to analyse qualitative data different with SPSS (i know juf for ) analysis for quantitative data). but I have problem with apply Nvivo with laptop HDD just 500, I can't run this program. how to solve?please help me
