Hi, I'm looking for equations of multi-machine power system, for example a network with 2 or 3 synchronous generators. Does anybody have it ? Or know an article that explained it?
I need a model for studying inter-area oscillations and later trying to design a controller to damp them. I read in a book that a multi-machine model is not suitable for studying inter-area oscillations, because it is considered as one area.
For this purpose, I'm looking for a model to describe a network with at least two areas and every area has at least one generator. in some references, this model is proposed but they don't have numeric values for parameters of the model.
How to design wide-area damping controller for large power systems? Please send some adequate basic reading material on that topic and also control design procedure.
I recommend you study the Chapter 12 (Simulation for Transient Stability Evaluation) on page 407 (especially its case studies with 17 generators, and 50-generators on page 425) of the following book:
Dear Davood, we had examined the paralleling of flywheel generators. Our model of synchronize machine (SM) is very comprehensive (see my other answer). For realistic simulation time we had use only two SM-models: An exanimated SM and sum of all other SMs. Problem is to find the parameters of sum other SMs. Then you have identic SMs in the sum, the parameters are ascertainable. Then you have different SMs in the sum you should any parameters measure.
