We are working on an aquatic plants and had lot of problem in cutting them because of their water content.
sorry it was to cut the leaves to observe chloroplasts..etc under fluorescence microscope with an aquatic plant that has thick leaves
Thanks indeed a razor was used to cut the leaves but the results are not fantastic as still very thick

Assuming the leaves are soft you can cut nice sections with a vibratome. You should be able to use either fresh or fixed tissue for this.
