I have a set of nonlinear differential equations that are coupled with each other .I know that there is at least one fixed point for these set of equations,but i am trying to find those that satisfies the problem constraints.I know this is possible with fmincon tool in matlab,but i dont know how to design an algorithm to find the fixedpoints.if anyone knows the answer please help me.any book,matlab code,example can be useful.

at the first you must know concept of the poincare map till write a code about it.
at first i advice you till write this code in mathematica if not i can suggest you a book about nonlinear dynamic that it includes many matlab code and i supposed that was useful for you
