Any opinion or info on this topic? Universities sadly seem to believe that journals which reject most of the papers they receive are of higher quality...

Frankly, it does not make any sense to me as an editor. I would worry if we had to reject almost all the papers we receive. It would mean that authors would have a very poor opinion of our journal and would send us low-quality papers expecting to be published quickly and easily.

On the other hand, a journal that rejects very good papers obviously does it because it lacks the money or the workforce to publish more papers per issue.
