In Bangladesh, the proved reserved of natural gas 34 TCF which will lead the country next 20 years and currently 82% natural gas consumed in the power sector for power production. Whereas only 3% of electricity produced from renewable energy sources. However, there is an immense interest in using renewable energy like solar, biofuel, geothermal, wind due to environmental and economic concerns [Uddin et al. 2019].
Do you think Bangladesh can do it in the long-term, for example in the year 2100? If "yes", how? If "No", why?

Yes, it is possible Dr. Taskin. It will require to model whole energy systems (all kind of sources and sinks in country) to derive the flexibility capacity that support large scale VRE integration while applying the Smart Grid potentials.

I am not very aware of the availability of land for solar power installations in Bangladesh. The interesting with the increasing the solar cell conversion efficeincy, the area required will be reduced. The other important factor is increasing the utilization effeciency of the electricity by smart control one may reduce required electricity supply.
