I have been teaching chemistry in Pharmaceutical Sciences Faculty and also follow some researches on environmental issues and Toxicology. Try to find some solutions for detoxification of contaminated soils, water and food issues in order to rescue the life of dear innocent people !

No, I do not love my job, but I love my work.

Many things are going on in my department which I do not want to think even. I left all those matters for those colleagues who love or like those. For me, spending time for such activities is wastage of valuable time of our very small active life span.

But I love my works. I perform laboratory works and also very actively engaged with one journal. It is indexed by Thomson Reuters at ESCI category. I have to spend a lot of time in the works of the journal.

I love teaching business and marketing online and on campus. Moreover, I love tutoring business, social sciences, earth and environmental sciences, languages, and history . I love what I do but since I am adjunct and tutoring the income is not steady. I would like to obtain a full time tenure position teaching business, preferably online because I have a chronic illness and limited mobility I will take full time on campus if possible as well.

When I was an undergraduate student at the University of Puerto Rico, my major was Sociology, and in my junior year I realized that I had interest and devotion towards teaching. Although I did not change my major, I pursued having courses in education towards teaching (21 credits). But for other factors, I completed my degree in Sociology and not in education. I love learning, as I love my job as a Senior Academic Adviser. Yet, my passion for teaching has been latent and I engaged in the creation of a program, along with a team of support administrators and staff, called Puerto Rico Program where I worked. It consisted of a course with a study abroad program in Puerto Rico for a total of six credits. For 12 years I coordinated the program at Buffalo State, directed it and went with a total of 90 students to the Island along with faculty and staff. Due to changes in administration and priorities, the status of the program changed. The History Dept. brought to my attention their interest in bringing back the program and I was asked to put together a proposal for the course via Hist. Dept. with an emphasis in History. The course was approved by the College Senate and it will be used to prepare students in education to do their student teaching in Puerto Rico (an initiative of a faculty member of the history department). The course is not limited to that group only , but students in History and other majors that maybe interested in taking the course.

I share this with you all because even though I am not considered a faculty member, I love teaching, has worked on campus as adjunct professor, and have been engaged in creating curriculum for the program in reference. When you love what you do, you excel in all possibilities to make it happen and make it better. It is reflected in the evaluations that students produce at the end of the course and their feedback should serve as an incentive to become a better teacher and a better agent of change. As a Senior Academic Adviser, I love what I do, in particular making things happen and making a difference in all of those served. Therefore, my response is YES! I love both my counseling and teaching careers, as well as my career as a student pursuing my doctorate degree.

I belong to the noble profession of teaching and I love my job. Teaching is my passion and is the Sunnah of our Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon Him) and this is the reason of loving my job.
