Lecture continues to be a significant part of face to face and online classrooms. Yet, there is a good deal of research to suggest it has limited ability to engage diverse populations and may not be the most effective method for students to learn content. There is also research to suggest otherwise. Regardless, often, the reason given for not electing more active or high impact learning opportunities is time.
