I am looking for programmes that develop social and emotional skills in children. they may be old ones, on-going or under development. I am interested in the age range between 0-11/12 years of age.
i have similar program to develop emotional and social intelligence, but it is in Arabic language, and it is suitable for 10th grade students (about 14 years old), if you are interested, i can send it to you.
We have been working on an intervention called BEST-Mood for several years now. It is an attachment and family systems model which we initially trialled with adolescents and found it had good results in reducing depression and anxiety. Our feedback from parents indicated that the same issues had been present since childhood. We are now developing up an piloting the program with children 3-12 years. There is a strong focus on social and emotional development - but my view is that emotional regulation is not so much a 'skill' as a feature of key relationships- so we don't use a skills training approach but try to work with parents and their children on sensitive responses, communication skills, problem solving, stress reduction, etc.

At the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, there are many programs: http://pdc.fpg.unc.edu/. Can you be more specific about the needs the children have?
Thank you very much! I'll check that. The children do not have specific needs. They are with normal development. I would like to work on their social and emotional skills.
Its a family based approach so both parents and children are involved. It requires two facilitators. Pilot work on the 3-12yr version is well underway and looking good so far.
We've recently developed a social emotional learnig initiative called the Wellbeing Classroom currently being implemented by a number of primary schools in South Australia. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loeWRRncUY4&spfreload=10
