I’m interested to know of any studies that evaluate the effect of ‘livescope’ or ‘forward facing sonar’ technological advances on recreational fisheries - particularly impacts to angler catch rates.

This technology is increasingly being used in recreational fisheries and anecdotally it results in significantly greater catch rates. Some recreational fishing tournaments have banned the use of this technology, as they feel it is an unfair advantage.

Thanks in advance for any leads.
