Thanks for your answers. I will explain. Actually I am talking about the usage of GIS software in integrated systems, in which geolocalization, database on plant data and methods for evaluating scenarios (for example LCA) are put together.
In particular, I am interested in projects, fully working, with strong scientific background, maybe used by research institutes, universities and environmental agencies, in which WEBGIS are used.
In few words, I am looking for EDSS (Environmental Decision Support Systems) specific for wastewater treatment (see the interesting attached article). I will be glad to know what you think.
Environmental agencies use frequently GIS to assess the impact of the differents pollutants to the sensitive receivers. You can give a look to environmental agency websites, usually it is possible to download official reports and annual studies. If you are interested in some books about GIS and environmental impact assessment let me know.
