05 January 2014 19 9K Report

Pantoea spp. are the most common bacteria isolated from bacterial leaf lesions of small grains, but there is no data about pathogenic Pantoea species on those crops. Pantoea stewartii/P. ananatis infect corn, sugar cane, sorghum. Only a few reports about virulence of P. ananatis on oats and Pantoea stewartii on triticale and oats, probably at artificial inoculation tests.
