Hi everyone, I am seeking to prepare viscose solution of Carbon nanostructures using which I will be able to coat Al wire in order to improve its conductivity. I tried aqueous solution of CNTs and I came across some problems. It was not viscose enough to provide a good coating.I would deeply appreciate it if anyone could help me with it. Any related articles or references can be also of great help.
You may disperse CNTs in ethylene glycol to increase the viscosity of your solution. However, CNT is not a good candidate for conductivity enhancement. You need a very high quality metallic CNTs for this purpose. You can replace CNTs with graphene or metal nanomaterials to get better conductivity.

Thanks a lot for your response. I am going to try graphene as well. Do you think that ethylene glycol could be a good solvent for graphene?
I was using graphene in EG for a couple of times. Since the solvent is viscous, you need rigorous stirring and then sonication process to get well-dispersed solution.
No nanoparticle network can provide conductivity higher than bulk Al wire. Tunnel junctions between nanoparticles will dominate and the electronic property of your individual nanoparticle will not be observed, even if you use network of graphene or metallic CNTs. I have demonstrated this both experimentally and theoretically. Please check my publication list.
